Limosa declaration in Belgium for construction companies

Any foreign company sending workers to a construction site in Belgium must declare the posting through Limosa before the work starts. SONAS helps you prepare and follow up on this procedure.

Who needs a Limosa declaration?

Foreign employers posting employees to Belgium, and foreign self-employed people working temporarily in the country. The declaration is made before the first working day; a receipt (L1) is issued and must be available during an inspection.

Limosa or A1 certificate: do you need both?

Yes, they are two different documents. Limosa informs the Belgian authorities that the worker is present. The A1 certificate confirms which country's social security applies (for example Poland, issued by ZUS). One does not replace the other.

How we help

Checking the required information (company, workers, site, Belgian client, dates), preparing and following up on the declaration, updates when dates or sites change, and organising the documents to keep for inspections.

Our support is administrative; it is not legal or tax advice and does not guarantee any outcome with the authorities.
